A simple Easter-and-Spring-inspired look

My mother insists I go to the Easter Vigil every year at her church, and while I am not a Christian, I don’t mind getting dressed up all pretty and making her happy at the same time. Plus, there’s always an awesome after with wine and other goodies. Love it!

I thought I’d take pictures of the makeup look I did, although I wish my lighting was better so you all could better see my eyeshadow colours.

The colours were much more bright in person. I’ve got to figure out how to get my lighting right. I used these purple and pink-ish colours because of the pastels that come with the theme of Easter. Spring also makes me think of pinks and purples, and the weather has just been getting really nice, so I felt in a pinky purple mood.

It is just a very simple look. Here’s a breakdown of the products I used. Moisturizer: Origins VitaZing, Primer: TooFaced Primed and Poreless, Concealer: ELF’s All Over Cover Stick in Apricot Beige, Foundation: Revlon Photoready in 007 (ha!), Blush/Bronzer: ELF’s Blushed/Bronzed compact, Eyeliner (tight-lined and water-lined on upper and lower lashes): Buxom Lashliner in Suede, topped with Nyx pencil liner in Black, Mascara: Nyx Doll Eye Mascara (Volumizing), Eyeshadow: Stila’s poetic (lid), chiffon (inner corner), and flamingo (crease and outer corner). On my lips I’ve got Smashbox’s lip enhancing gloss in Tease.

I had so much fun doing this look; I hope to be able to show off more, and get my lighting worked out so that the colour can be shown off. I swear it looked better in person. Thanks for reading!
